While somewhat eclectic in my styles that I listen to, I tend to be influence by romantic composers as well as modern choral composers such as Eric Whitacre.
I was asked to write a duet for trumpet and clarinet. It worked well, but I (and several others) felt that it worked even better for two clarinets.
The movements are entitled:
* Reminiscing
* Pleasant Conversation
* Punctuated Dialogue
The percussive sounds you hear in the third movement are foot stomps or toe taps from the performers. Yes, the last movement is more of a challenge.
